By the bank of RuoShui we call for JiLiang:/ JiLiang, JiLiang~

叮叮当当天地叮叮当当

“Dingding, Dangdang.”/ The world is jingling along.

九天之上飘来一朵雪花

From the highest heavens, a snowflake came drifting by.

原来是我那英俊的小马

Turns out it was my handsome little pony.

金色星星在它眼里安家

Golden sparkles made home in its eyes.

祝融手持火种编织了它的发

Zhurong wove its mane with living flame.

我的小马一天一天长大

My little pony grew up day by day

穿过凛冬和最沸腾的夏

through frozen winters and summer’s fiercest blaze, 

衔来西边石头东边的花

bearing stones from the west and flowers east,

马蹄扬起层层层层的云沙

raising sand-cloudsfold on fold on fold in its wake.

吉量我亲爱的小马

JiLiang, my dearest little pony:

漫漫长夜你呀

Through the long long night, shall you--

抖一抖脊梁

give your spine a shake or two?

吉量当你路过他乡

JiLiang, when you pass a foreign land,

最绵长的山岗

upon the longest ridge, my love-- 

要挂我的月亮

let my moon hang above.

等到人们听说我的小马

Wait till all have heard of my liitle pony,

听说禺彊长风追不上它

heard that the wind of YuJiang can’t catch up with it.

银河里的光会顺流而下

Down from YinHe, light shall flow astream.

大地长出通往九野的枝丫

The earth gives birth to branches reachingfor the sky.

高高山上鸾鸟唱叮当叮当

High on the hill, LuanNiao sings:/“DingDang, DingDang.”

东海浪里搅银汤汤汤荡荡

Churn the moonlit waves of the East Sea/ waters vast and wild.

建木树下唤吉量吉量吉量

Beneath the tree of JianMu, we call for JiLiang:/ JiLiang, JiLiang~

叮叮当当天地叮叮当当

吉量我勇敢的小马

JiLiang, my brave little pony:

当人间需要桥梁

When men need a bridge across,

请你垂下缰

please lower you rein.

吉量树顶上那颗太阳

JiLiang, see that sun atop the tree:

在晨雾里张望

wondering through a fresh mist,

驼它来我身旁

please take it to me.
